WEC Group and the launch of their Goose Foot street furniture range is a coming together of Ollerton Engineering Services under WEC’s Engineering and Fabrication business. Both companies have been manufacturing street furniture for well over 30 years and their joining forces provide them with a platform to deliver a highly engineered quality product offering to the marketplace.

The Goose Foot street furniture range has been in development over a couple of years and bwd have been working alongside Ollerton’s engineers to take the range from sketch initial ideas into production. At the start of the design journey, the aim was to take one of our clients existing seating products and develop a new end profile. The idea behind changing the end profile was to not only cut down on manufacturing costs but enabled us to provide various design options using the same fixing points.

bwd designed and generated all of the drawings details for manufacture of the Goose Foot range. There are seats, benches, bollards, bins and lamp standards available in the range. The brand name came from the street name ‘Goose Foot Lane’ which is where Ollerton was based before they merged with WEC. The products are named after various geese and they offer public and private sector clients with a well-designed, highly engineered and beautifully manufactured range which can be customised to suit any installation context.
