The Big Day at Chester Cathedral

After months of hard work designing and project managing, we have finally reached the end of our latest project for Chester Cathedral!

The Lord Mayor of Chester, Cllr. Pam Booher, will be formally opening Chester Cathedral’s newly redesigned and refurbished Gift Shop tomorrow!

According to Marketing Cheshire, “The Shop will still be situated in the thousand year old vaulted visitors’ entrance (off Werburgh Street) and aspects of the story of the Cathedral have been blended with everything that shoppers now demand. A full range of souvenirs will be on offer, as well as books, gifts, cards, CDs and jewellery, some unique to Chester Cathedral as well as new items including a beautiful coloured glass panel depicting St Werburgh, a design copied from the wonderful modern stained glass of the West Window. Customers will be able to buy stamps and pack their purchases in one of our new eco-friendly carrier bags – a wonderful souvenir in its own right and definitely this summer’s ‘must have’ accessory!”

We cannot wait to see what everyone things of our creative interpretation of their brief in the historical space. Hope to see you there, too!
