Have you heard about the Winckley Weekend in Preston? It starts this Friday 1st May at 11am and runs until 10pm.  We’re going on Saturday, are you?

It is going to be a weekend of vintage fashion stalls, catwalk shows, great food and street performances.  The aim is to bring back the spirit of the Preston Guild.

An area off Fishergate will be transformed to celebrate Winckley Weekend, which aims to bring back a flavour of the hugely successful Preston Guild 2012.

Vintage fashion, catwalk shows and street stalls will feature alongside traders selling local produce and cooked food from around the world.

Shops and restaurants on Guildhall street, Cannon street, Winckley street, Cross street and Winckley Square will spill out and mix with bands, buskers and street performers to create a lively carnival atmosphere.”
