Back in the old Post Office in Preston, for its second year, the Best of Britannia pop-up showcased again. This weekend, 11th, 12th and 13th March 2016, creatives from Lancashire and further afield showed us what’s great about being creative and British!

Last year’s event was a huge success and we were happy to see its return. Any event that shines a spotlight on Lancashire’s creative sector always gets our vote. The BOB event aims ‘to provide a platform for the very best of British brands from across a multitude of industry genres to show just how good they are’ and celebrates British design, manufacturing and craftsmanship.

We chose to visit only this year, not because we didn’t have a great experience last year as an exhibitor, but when you are exhibiting you miss-out on what other exhibitors are doing. The show had certainly expanded this year. As well as exhibitors from last year, businesses ranged from clothing companies to Motorcycles. With so much to see we didn’t manage to catch up with everyone but did say hi to some friends we made last year. It was fantastic to see Chris, The Cunning Craftsman, again. In fact, Bev needed to catch up with Chris about a project she wants his involvement with. It just goes to show that events like this foster creative collaborations.

It was lovely seeing Katie King’s work again too. The intricacy she creates with paper is amazing! Check out our show reel of images below.

We made some news friends too this year. Eliot from Feature Lighting had some amazing bespoke pendants and offers totally unique specification options.
