Illuminating Ideas from S&O

As a design company, we understand how difficult it can be to remain creative and different from the rest. Inspiration and influence can come from the most surprising of places, but with constant mainstream communication from social and fashion trends, advertising, and the media, designers can often end up following each other down the same paths.

Product designer Hisakazu Shimizu and design director Eizo Okada established their Japan-based industrial design company, S&O Design, in July 2012, coming together with heavy-weight experience and a fantastic thought concept Continuous Design.

S&O Design explain their concept as a mission of industrial design.

“Within this rapidly changing society, companies draw customers through the appeal of their products, and it is increasingly difficult to continually raise that value. Today’s products must also exhibit a stronger sense of originality than those before them, as well as a flexibility to continue evolving.”

It is a great concept that we love. Click here to continue reading.

The design duo have many different projects and products that they work on, and we look forward to seeing more of their creative interpretations as they evolve more as a company.
